If you guys follow me on twitter, you're probably aware of my trip to the UK and France. I'll go more in-depth later in a few blog posts.
While I was in Paris, I wanted to check out The Christian Dior Exhibition at Musée des Arts Décoratifs. My Friend tired to queue but it was too long and we only had an hour to see the whole place. Plus, we wasted quite a lot of time trying to locate where it was none of us are blessed with the ability to speak the beautiful language of French it was a struggle. But still, I was lucky enough to see at least three items.
Finally, we found it but there was a HUGE line since it was just a few weeks open to the public. While we still had a little hope to get in, we started to talk to an elderly woman who was dressed very nicely. I complimented her on her outfit and started to talk to her. Apparently, she's been in the fashion industry for a long time working in a local magazine. Before I knew it, we were late to see the rest of the group at the meeting point. I asked her what would be three things I should always keep in mind. I thought it would be nice to share it with you since she was a pretty successful woman and she's French ...they always know what the hell they're doing.
So here you have it Three things a French Women gave me:
  1. Posture is key! It gives you so much more confidence you won't be taken as seriously without it.

  2.  Men are trash, they distract you from your goals. So first find yourself and figure out what you want for your future self then get yourself a charming man. Meanwhile, stick to yourself.

  3. Lastly, red lipstick is your war paint. Probably explains why French women wear red lipstick a lot.  You'll feel like a million bucks and ready to conquer the world.
After talking to her, I swear I got more motivated to work harder towards something in life. She will probably be someone who I`ll remember for the rest of my life because She seemed very cultured and intelligent, that made me think "Wow I want to be like her when I'm older!". There is an elegance about these working women in a rush with somewhere to go and places to be I saw in Paris that inspired me ten times more.
I hope you guys liked the post and that it also inspired you as much as it did to me.
Love.

Hey guys!So we are now in the middle of the month and that means the days are getting a little colder than usual. And one of the best seasons is finally upon us... Autumn. So here is a little guide to the most seen trends for this season.

We'll kick this post off with trench coats. I saw this trend very popular amongst Parisian women while I was on my trip. Personally, I'm a big fan of these, specifically the neutral colors or a good ol' black. They give a clean and put together look to an outfit.

It's been a while since we last saw blazers that aren't office related, but lately, they've been seen much more everywhere. It's been seen in a lot in Prince of Wales check type of print, wheater in a whole suit or just the blazer. I find this to be a piece that you won't have as much difficulty pairing it for an outfit since you can wearable with tones similar to the print or a pop of color such as red.

Now that we mentioned red, it's also been very big this year. Might even be the color of the year.
During the summer we've been using it a lot in accessories such as bags, berets or shoes just to give it a little va va voom our outfits. My take on this trend is that it'll be pretty big this season not just on accessories but in sweaters or coats.

Ahh the classic leopard print, maybe we haven't seen it as common as the rest of the items but trust me it's there. A lot of people are afraid of this particular print because it can look weird if you overdo it. I recommend wearing a leopard print faux fur coat with an all-black outfit and add a pop of cherry red on shoes or a bag. In conclusion, prints are all about balance.

This is my favorite out of all these items, the paperboy hat. I recently bought one and let me tell you I fell in love with how it can make your outfit look. No wonder Miss. Bella Hadid is spotted wearing one a lot.

Lastly, we'll tackle two items here: Cropped jeans and loafers. These two seem to look absolutely perfect together! They give an outfit a very French vibe I mean who doesn't want to look like a French Women? This combo gives a sophisticated yet laid-back look, very Caroline de Maigret I'd say. That woman is the queen of sophisticated yet laid-back.

Hope this inspired you guys for this season

Jen.
